Probe tips in BeCu with different tip diameters, one version with gold plating in tip area only, 20 mil or 0.508 mm shank. Probe tips are supplied in boxes of 10. Beryllium Copper is typically used with a gold metalization layer.. Copper tips tend to oxydize, giving them a dull look. A quick scrubbing operation removes this oxide layer at the contact point.
Some of our BeCu tip packages include anti corrosion paper to minimize surface oxidization.
As alternative we offer gold plating. Since tips are manufactured from silver plated BeCu wire the shank retains the silver layer. Gold plating covers the tip area, offering complete corrosion protection. Compared to gold plated tungsten tips you get the higher conductivity and heat transfer capability of Beryllium Copper. Initially we are offering gold plated BeCu tips with 12.5 µm tip radius only. But other values are available with short turnaround (1 - 2 weeks) and at the same low price.
